Paul Hanrahan: Elevating Colour Mastery in Film & TV

Host of Color Mentor, sharing expertise with the colourist community.

Paul Hanrahan is a seasoned Digital Intermediate Colourist and educator with over 30 years of experience in the industry. As the International Director of Training & Professional Development (Certification & Standards) for SAFAITS, he is dedicated to raising standards and supporting professionals in the field. Paul began his journey in colour grading back in 1994, working on both film and digital systems across South Africa and Taiwan. His extensive portfolio includes feature films, TV series, documentaries, TV commercials, and music videos.

Fluent in English and Chinese, Paul provides colour grading services, teaching, and mentoring for aspiring and established colourists. He also offers skill training tools to empower the next generation of post-production professionals. Paul hosts the Color Mentor podcasts, featured both on the SAFAITS Academy platform and his own professional channels, where he shares insights, knowledge, and practical advice for the global colour grading community. With a passion for nurturing talent and sharing his expertise, Paul continues to make significant contributions to the industry.
