Our goal is to support the professional growth of SAFAITS members by providing local training programmes and ensuring they meet broadcast standards through effective certification and skill development. We work closely with industry partners to address skill gaps and develop resources that align with real-world requirements. Setting the Bar: SAFAITS is developing training resources for colourists to effectively meet broadcast standards. This includes understanding legal limits and quality control requirements for various broadcasters.

Enhancing Training Programmes: Launching a survey to gather insights from broadcast QC teams on the most common colour grading failure points, helping us tailor our training and certification programmes to real-world needs.

Empowering Members: Establishing robust local certification pathways to ensure SAFAITS members are well-equipped to meet professional standards. We are currently in liaison with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and the Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA) to formalise these certifications.
